Developing Local Cases

In 2007, NCCUC collaborated with Ivey Business School, which ranks 2nd in the world in the publication of cases, and has jointly developed and written about 24 cases in Taiwan. The case studies were published worldwide in both Chinese and English, and they have made an impact around the world. As of now, more than 60,000 have been sold; among them, 7-Eleven in Taiwan: Adaptation of Convenience Stores to New Market Environments has sold more than 12,000 copies.

In 2014, NCCUC also established the Chengchi Business Case Center (CBCC) to strengthen the development of domestic corporate cases, including cases on business ethics and sustainable operations. So far, more than 70 cases have been published in Chinese, with sales nearing 15,000 copies.

Course Design in Line with Actual Practice and Current Trends

Courses Opened in Collaboration with Enterprises

To let students know more about real situations in industrial development, NCCUC has jointly opened classes with enterprises to bring our courses closer to actual practice. These include – KPMG’s New Vision of Accounting under Globalization Trend; HSBC’s Financial Institution Management; KGI Securities’ Derivatives, Structured Products & Trading Practice; Cathay Securities’ Asset Management Strategy and Application; Bank SinoPac’s Practice of All-Round Talents in Financial Holding Company; and more.

Courses Opened on Trending Topics

In response to current trends, NCCUC also offers courses related to big data analysis and FinTech. More than 200 people apply for the FinTech specialized program each year. In addition, Business Analytics is also included in the college’s electives. The course trains students to apply big data concepts in areas such as marketing and decisions, applications in SAS/R, digital marketing, and accounting information management.

Interdisciplinary Studies

In order to expand the depth and breadth of our courses, our courses featuring 16 research clusters to create programs cross-disciplinarily to help students build diverse expertise. These programs include the Supply Chain Management Program, the Law and Accounting Program (Master’s), the Biotechnology Management Program, the Human Resource Management Program, the Management and Accounting Program, and the CFA Core Program, among others.
